Ford V. Ferrari

Ford v Ferrari' Blu-ray & 4k Blu-ray Details & Exclusives |

Ford v. Ferrari is a biopic directed by James Mangled about Carroll Shelby (Matt Damon), an automotive designer, and Ken Miles (Christian Bale) a race car driver. The guys join hands to build a trailblazing vehicle and compete against the Ferrari race cars. For example, in races such as the Le Mans with the constant antagonist of the film being Ford’s director of special vehicles/PR specialist Leo Beebe, played by Josh Lucas.

Moreover, I recently watched the movie after a lot of procrastination due to scepticism, but I was wrong… this is the best movie in the entire world! Everything from the camera shots to the acting was awesome. Also, the ability to do all that with a biopic is remarkable in my opinion and it took the top spot in the list of my favourite movies already.

The movie is just too good, I recommend you watch it if you haven't yet. If you think it’s a racing movie and you don’t know racing stuff too well or don’t like it, its fine because the story isn’t too revolved around racing but more about the two guys trying to redeem themselves against a corporate overlord and a top-dog in the racing industry.

First, I’d like to say that this movie had the best plot/story I have seen in a movie in a long time. Even though this was based on true events and the story was taken from real-life events, the flow of the story/plot was really good, and the chosen events and scenes were brilliantly executed. that was all because of the director (James Mangled). Because a director with the calibre to make movies such as ‘Logan’ was surely the best person for executing a movie with a large amount of pressure and fan base behind it.

Secondly, the acting from everyone from Christian Bale and Matt Damon to the Tracy Letts (Henry Ford II) was amazing and they embraced their characters. Although In this movie Christian Bale simply stole the show, because in the entire movie he acted remarkably well and made a big connection with the audience so half the time we weren't supporting anyone other than Ken Miles because he was the underdog in most scenarios.

However, there were many other things in the movie which I indirectly liked, such as Josh Lucas’s acting. As he was the villain, we didn’t like him at all, but that’s the thing I realised the second time I watched it, he is so incredibly good at acting as a douchebag villain that I hated him with all my heart and because of this, I think he was the best dude for the job as he really made us hate Beebe as a person.

In all fairness, this movie wasn’t perfect and there was a problem in my opinion, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. It was the lack of race scenes, I mean I get that it is supposed to be like that, so that the other viewers who aren't big fans of racing or don’t know much can watch it, but c’mon, it's based on racing, so they should’ve added a lot of thrilling races/racing scenes in it. Although the last race at Le Mans was crazy good and had a lot of emotion.

In conclusion, this was the best movie I’ve ever seen due to everything such as the story, acting, camera shots, editing, etc. but every movie can improve, and this has a few points of improvement as well. Therefore, I give it a 9.3/10, I recommend you watch it as well.
